Frequently asked questions

Learn how USClic works, where the data comes from, how analysis credits work, and how to interpret your U.S. market intelligence.

About USClic

What USClic is and how the platform is designed to help.

What is USClic?
USClic is a U.S. market intelligence platform designed to help entrepreneurs, startups, and businesses explore a business idea before making a market-entry decision.
What can I analyze with USClic?
You can start with a business idea and explore its industry, U.S. location, market conditions, labor environment, demographic context, federal market activity, opportunities, risks, and other decision-relevant evidence when available.
Who is USClic designed for?
USClic is designed for entrepreneurs, startups, small and medium-sized businesses, international companies exploring the United States, consultants, and other decision-makers who need structured U.S. market intelligence.
Do I need to know my NAICS code?
No. You can begin by describing your business idea in normal language. USClic can help classify the activity and present relevant industry options for you to confirm before the analysis continues.

Market Analysis

How the USClic analysis workflow works.

How does a USClic analysis work?
The workflow starts with your business idea. USClic then helps identify the relevant industry, asks you to select a target U.S. location and analysis focus, retrieves available evidence, and generates a structured market intelligence report.
What is Standard Market Analysis?
Standard Market Analysis is USClic's core analysis. It combines structured business inputs, available U.S. government data, deterministic calculations where appropriate, and AI-assisted interpretation to provide a practical first assessment of a market opportunity.
What is Deep Research?
Deep Research is the advanced research mode planned for the Pro experience. It is designed to investigate questions that may require evidence beyond standard government-data analysis, such as competitors, pricing, regulations, market conditions, and other decision-critical information.
Is Deep Research the same as Standard Market Analysis?
No. Standard Market Analysis is designed for faster market validation using USClic's structured analysis workflow. Deep Research is intended for more extensive, multi-source investigation when a business decision requires deeper evidence.
Does USClic guarantee that a business will succeed?
No. Market intelligence reduces uncertainty; it cannot eliminate it. Business performance depends on many factors including execution, pricing, competition, regulation, financing, timing, and changing market conditions.

Data & Evidence

Where information comes from and how to interpret it.

Where does USClic get its data?
USClic uses trusted U.S. public data sources such as the U.S. Census Bureau, Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), and USAspending, depending on the analysis and data availability.
Does USClic use AI?
Yes. AI is used for tasks such as understanding business descriptions and interpreting evidence. Critical numerical facts come from identified data sources or controlled calculations rather than being generated freely by the AI model.
What does VERIFIED mean in a USClic report?
VERIFIED identifies information supported by a connected evidence source used by the analysis. USClic separates source-backed evidence from analytical interpretation so users can better understand what is factual data and what is analysis.
What does ANALYTICAL mean?
ANALYTICAL means the statement is an interpretation, implication, or conclusion developed from the available evidence rather than a directly reported source value.
What does ESTIMATED mean?
ESTIMATED indicates that a value is derived or approximated rather than directly reported as a verified source value. Assumptions and methodology should be considered before using an estimate for a major decision.
What does NOT CONNECTED mean?
NOT CONNECTED indicates that USClic does not currently have sufficient connected evidence for that particular data point or research area. It should not be treated as a verified fact.
Why can Census and BLS employment figures be different?
Different government datasets can use different surveys, methodologies, geographic definitions, and reporting periods. For example, Census survey estimates and BLS labor statistics should not automatically be treated as identical measurements.
Is USAspending federal spending the same as total market size?
No. USAspending represents federal award and spending activity. It can provide useful federal-market intelligence, but it should not be presented as the total commercial size of an industry.

Drafts & Saved Analyses

Continue unfinished research and access completed analyses.

What happens if I leave before finishing an analysis?
USClic retains one unfinished analysis draft in your browser so you can return and continue where you left off.
How long is an unfinished analysis saved?
An unfinished analysis draft is kept for up to 48 hours from the time the draft was originally created. Continuing to edit the draft does not restart the 48-hour period.
Can I continue a draft on another device?
Not currently. Unfinished drafts are stored locally in the browser used to start the analysis. Completed analyses saved to your USClic account can be accessed across any device.
What happens to the draft after analysis succeeds?
Once the analysis has been successfully generated and saved to your USClic account, the unfinished browser draft is cleared. The completed analysis will then reside in your saved analysis history.
What happens if the analysis fails while generating?
The unfinished draft remains available so you can retry without rebuilding the entire analysis from scratch, provided the draft has not expired.

Plans & Analysis Credits

Understand Free, Basic, Pro, and analysis usage.

Can I use USClic for free?
Yes. USClic's Free plan includes two Standard Market Analyses for the lifetime of the free account.
What happens after I use my two free analyses?
Once the Free plan allowance has been used, generating additional analyses requires an active paid plan.
Does deleting a completed analysis restore my credit?
No. An analysis credit covers the computational generation process, not storage. Deleting a completed report does not restore the used credit.
Does signing in use an analysis credit?
No. Signing in, creating an account, browsing saved analyses, or editing an unfinished draft does not consume analysis credits.
Does a failed analysis consume a credit?
No. Analyses that fail during generation will not count against your successfully completed analysis credit balance.
How many analyses are included in paid plans?
The Basic plan includes 10 Standard Market Analysis credits per month. The Pro plan includes 20 Standard Market Analysis credits and 3 Deep Research credits per month. Refer to the Pricing page for updated details.

Reports & Decisions

How to use USClic reports responsibly.

Can I export my USClic analysis?
PDF exports and professional report generation are supported on eligible paid plans.
Can I use a USClic report as a feasibility study?
A USClic report effectively supports early-stage research and strategy, but formal feasibility studies for institutional lenders or regulators may require additional certified professional analysis.
Does USClic provide legal, tax, or investment advice?
No. USClic provides market intelligence tools. It is not a substitute for qualified legal, tax, accounting, financial, or engineering advice.
